What is The Grain?

The Grain is a reference to the basic bit (or bits), of material that makes a much larger whole. Like pieces of a puzzle, one piece doesn’t mean much, but together it becomes significant. In this context, The Grain has several meanings. It is the material used to melt together and make a casting. It is also a place to find short (small, like a grain of sand) tips and tricks about making jewelry that can be picked up and applied with very little time invested. And it is also a newsletter about various topics related to the craft of handmade jewelry that will be sent once a month (or so) that will be practical and informative.
